About
Justin joined Rhine Law Firm as an associate attorney in 2025. Before joining the firm, he worked as a Judicial Fellow, assisting trial court judges throughout North Carolina with their most complex civil and criminal matters. In this role, Justin routinely drafted court orders and researched novel legal issues at the judges’ direction, in addition to managing a full caseload of Three-Judge Panels and Rule 2.1 Exceptional Civil Cases. Justin brings with him a unique perspective from his experience working alongside North Carolina’s many trial court judges.
Now with us, Justin is putting his experience to good use by advocating on behalf of our clients and guiding them through their complex legal challenges with care and an unwavering commitment to justice. Since joining the firm, Justin has gained experience across a wide range of civil litigation matters, including drafting and answering pleadings, motions, and discovery, taking and defending depositions, arguing and opposing critical motions before the court, successfully resolving disputes through mediation and other settlement mechanisms. While many disputes resolve before trial, Justin is prepared to try cases should trial become necessary.
Justin is a native Wilmingtonian. Staying close to home, he attended UNCW for his undergraduate studies, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s in history. After a couple of years working for his family’s business, Justin attended UNC School of Law in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
In his spare time, Justin enjoys cooking at home, with a particular interest in Southern comfort meals and trending international cuisine, relaxing by the beach or a pool, and lifting weights at his favorite fitness club, O2 Fitness. Justin is also an avid sports fan, cheering on his beloved North Carolina Tar Heels during any sporting season but most especially during basketball season.
